THE Chevrolet Warriors will support breast cancer awareness month next Tuesday afternoon at Axxess St George’s by serving guests a special afternoon tea.
The cricket team is supporting breast cancer awareness month by playing matches in specially designed pink caps – and the women in their lives are hosting a tea to support the players in the fundraising drive.
Port Elizabeth oncologist Dr Linda Whitelock-Jones will speak at the tea and all proceeds will go to the Reach for Recovery Foundation. The afternoon will also feature the stories of two breast cancer survivors.
The tea is at 4pm on October 29 (not the 28th as reported in La Femme) in the President’s Suite at the Centenary Pavilion. Tickets are R100 each from Axxess St George’s ticket office, and include tea, prizes and giveaways.
