WALMER SPEED BUMPS RIDICULOUS
THOSE rubber contraptions across Walmer Boulevard in the direction of Heugh Road were sprung on us motorists on Sunday morning without any prior warning. There are no traffic signs warning you that you are about to have your dentures shaken from your mouth or your undergarments readjusted. These bone shakers are invisible at night and this spot is a train smash waiting to happen.
WHAT idiot decided to put those ridiculous speed bumps in Walmer Boulevard? Agreed traffic calming is necessary, but is it necessary to stop the traffic on this busy road? It would have been better to have made a four-way stop at the DR Church area. The noise of the heavy trucks going over these bumps is something else – sounds like a big accident every few minutes. People who have to sleep during the day are being sleep deprived. Please remove these ridiculous bumps as a matter of urgency
YOU complain about speed humps in Walmer Boulevard. You must see the mountains we must climb in the northern areas. We replace suspension parts regularly. You complain about 20km/h speed over them, we come to a complete halt.

DISAPPOINTED CHRISTINA'S OUT OF 'IDOLS'
HOW disappointing. Christina Williams, we all sent in SMSes for you. The judges obviously were looking for something. Their comments and rudeness swayed the public. It was the same with Melissa Allison. We want to see you perform in PE. All the best.
BURNS DEATHS MAY HAVE BEEN PREVENTABLE
WHAT a pity Dr Linda Jones, the burns specialist, is not at Dora Nginza Hospital any longer. Those five deaths may have been preventable with specialist care.
CRICKET SA KOWTOWS TO INDIAN BOARD
LOOKS like boots are not the only parts of the BCCI that Cricket SA is willing to lick.

DON'T DISCRIMINATE AGAINST POSTMEN
POST office management must stop discriminating against their postmen. Pay and respect your postmen equally.
BAN SPONSORSHIP AND PUBLIC SALES TOO
BAN alcohol adverts! Also ban sponsorship of all sporting codes and drinking at sport events. This will cause a huge decrease in attendance. Also ban alcohol at all government functions (resulting in sober minds and better decision making).
COMPARING MALEMA WITH MUGABE NAIVE
NO Kazeka Mashologu Kuse, to compare Robert Mugabe's situation with Julius Malema's is naive, to say the least. Mugabe's madness was kept afloat by tacit support from South Africa and his neighbours. Pull the same stunt here and Southern Africa (Zimbabwe more so) will go into total free fall with nowhere for the poor and starving to flee to. It's not about land (a red herring), it's about education, jobs and mainly 20 years of ANC/SACP stealing that which was meant to uplift the poor. Malema's party will be short lived in years, as it consumes itself from the inside, just like Zuma's communist-run regime. Ethnic violence will take hold and that, not racism, is what we need to fear, and not Malema.
