UNLESS there are upsets, the big guns in the Safa-NMB SAB League should retain their positions at the top of the log on Sunday.
The matches were scheduled to take place tomorrow but have been rescheduled as all the appointed referees will be undergoing training.
Subs, who are having an amazing run with seven wins out of seven and are the only team in the league with a clean sheet, play Showvillage United in the early match at the NU2 Stadium. United, who are just one place from the bottom of the log, will find it difficult to succeed where seven others have failed – to get a goal past Lwando Nkohla.
Callies, who trail Subs by two points, are also unbeaten but have drawn a match. They are due to play Despatch Pioneers at the Westbourne Oval.
After their resounding 3-1 win over Island City last week, the Londt Park outfit should have the beating of the lads from Despatch.
Lion City, whose only defeat this season was the 4-0 thumping by Subs in the opening fixture, play Island City in the late game at the NU2 Stadium.
With six points from their double- header last week, Fairview Rovers should make it three in a row when they play Central Acemates at the Saints field in Gelvandale.
After a disappointing start to the season, which saw them draw two matches and lose two, the northern areas outfit seem to be finding their feet.
Rovers are tied in fourth place with Camper United and Pioneers. Camper are up against Royal Bucks at the NU9 Stadium. Last week Bucks had their match against Peace United abandoned with less than 10 minutes remaining after a player punched the referee on being red-carded.
Fixtures: Peace United v Tomorrow Stars (Walmer High), Fairview Rovers v Central Acemates (Saints), Camper United v Royal Bucks (NU9), Sunrise Development v Motherwell Academy (Zwide Stadium), Callies v Despatch Pioneers (Westbourne Oval), Showvillage United v Subs (NU2), Lion City v Island City (NU2), Hotspurs v Highland Spurs (Moore Dyke).
