THE Eastern Cape Liquor Board has launched a toll-free line to curb irresponsible trading by shebeen owners in townships.
Frustrated township residents can now air their gripes through the board's 24/7-line, communications manager Mgwebi Msiya said.
"We realise that people don't have the means to access the liquor board because our resources are spread too thin. Also, many people who would have liked to report shebeen-related problems did not have much recourse from the issues that arose from irresponsible trading," Msiya said.
