ON October 17 I attended a music evening at Greenwood Primary School where my granddaughter attends school. I cannot put into words the feeling that I experienced.
All that I can say is that the children who played and performed were awesome, and I enjoyed myself tremendously. My granddaughter was absolutely thrilled and is looking forward to being in the band.
I was humbled to learn the amount of sponsorship that Colin and Glynis Muller provide to the school. They bought all the instruments for the school and continue to sponsor the school band.
I know the school thanked them and they have probably been thanked before, but I feel they do deserve another word of appreciation, They can be proud of themselves as the impact their donation is having on our children is huge.
The children who participate in music probably go to high school more confident and enriched.
Thank you to the principal, Mr Pike, for managing a school that has such dedicated teachers, especially the music teachers, Mrs Barnardo, Mr Du Preez and Mr Van Rooyen. You guys are doing an awesome job.
I wish some of our schools in our communities could have such dedicated teachers.
