A YOUNG African architect has had enough of racism in Despatch, near Port Elizabeth, and is hoping the complaint he has laid against a white man who attacked him and called him a k***** will serve as an example to others.
Vuyo Mashicila, 23, was on his way to buy electricity when the man allegedly kicked and punched him for walking past his car near the Savannah Lounge in the town's Main Street.
The 27-year-old suspect – who was arrested two days after the incident and released on a warning – is expected to appear in the Uitenhage Magistrate's Court tomorrow. He may not be named until he has appeared.
