IN The Herald report, "House set on fire" (October 28), it was stated the house of a town councillor was set on fire by "an angry mob".
This is not anger! When one is angry, one stamps one's foot, shakes a fist in the air or is moved to utter a curse or two.
To burn down a house is an act of criminal vandalism and should be described as such. I would bet my eye teeth that this was not a spontaneous outburst, but a deliberate planned act of arson.
We are constantly patting ourselves on the back for 19 years of democracy, but there are some among us who have yet to learn how to conduct themselves like democrats.
Use your vote! If you don't like any of the present political parties, nominate one of your own to stand in the election, but please no more wanton destruction.
