LEON de Villiers's letter makes for very interesting reading ("Fix management, then can call for sacrifices", October 23).
I live in Broadwood and walk every morning in the area. On Thursday morning a crew had started work on the construction of a much needed speed bump in Constance Road.
However, what concerns me is the flagrant waste of ratepayers' money. The crew consisted of 10 people plus one bakkie, trailer and road cutting machine. I approached the man who appeared to be in charge and asked what they were doing.
He said, "A speed bump", to which I asked why he needed 10 people. His response was that it was "hard work". I gave up as half of them were already asleep.
