HIS thoughts about happiness have earned Port Elizabeth blogger Theunis Pienaar a scholarship to do research towards his PhD at the Jonathan Edwards Centre Africa.
Pienaar, 42, general manager at Bay radio station Kingfisher FM, takes up the scholarship next year and will be based in China and South Korea for up to three years – the duration of his research. His family – wife Zuko and children Theunis, 13, Wilhelmina, 12, Sophia, 10, and Maddi, 18 months – will go with him.
The Jonathan Edwards Centre Africa was founded in 2009 as a result of a strategic partnership between Yale University, the Jonathan Edwards Center and the University of the Free State.
