FOLLOWING the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality's failure to make the Pikoli forensic report public and the lack of action on the R18.8-million that was allegedly squandered, the DA has opened a criminal case at the Humewood police station.
Advocate Vusi Pikoli's five-month investigation was wrapped up in March.
DA Bay caucus leader Leon de Villiers said yesterday police had informed the party that they were investigating some of the culprits named in the report. Police spokesman Captain Johan Rheeder could not confirm if a criminal charge had been laid because all the investigating officers were off duty after 4pm. – Rochelle de Kock
