SQUARES provided the early shock in the Pefa Premier League on Saturday when they beat log-leaders Motherwell Academy 5-3 to record their first win in six starts.
The teams were level at 2-2 at the break. Khaya Mpushe and Siyamthanda Ndwandwa (2) scored for Motherwell.
PE City failed to produce their form of the previous week – when they hammered Warriors 5-0 – against Callies on Friday.
This time it was their turn to be on the receiving end as they were thrashed 5-1 by the defending champions. Bradley Peterson led the assault with a hat trick. Zaid Dolley and Razaan Safedien added a goal apiece.

A second-half blitz saw Young Cosmos thrash Mabayibone Strikers 4-0 on Saturday. Although the score would suggest it was one-sided match, Cosmos battled in the first half as Sechaba scored the only goal of the half in the 25th minute.
In the second half Mabayibone failed to match the pace of Cosmos as Sivuyile Feni, Mahlubi Bosman and Baxolele Mtila scored a goal apiece.
