New cat in town

06 June 2012
Shadow, a rare black leopard cub, is settling in well at the Seaview Game Park after having been brought in from a special breeding programme in Potchefstroom.

Weighing in at 20kg, Shadow is helping the park educate visitors on the differences between the plentiful fair-coloured leopards and the rarer black variety which is more commonly found in parts of Asia with large tropical forests, where they camouflage well.

With Shadow is his caretaker Or Lazmi.
