WITH the mid-year exams to consider and teams beginning to prepare for the Craven Week, there is a shortened schools rugby programme in the Eastern Cape this weekend.
However, there are some interesting clashes on the schedule with St Andrew’s hoping to continue where they left off last week when they hosted Selborne in Grahamstown.
The Andreans showed their best form of the season to shock Queen’s 31-18 and they could well notch up another win against a Selborne team who have not had their best season so far.
At Woodridge, the home team should have a close encounter with the visiting Graeme College side, while Victoria Park High should have their work cut out when they host Union High.
In Despatch, the home side will be favoured against Molly Blackburn, but cannot afford to underestimate the visitors.
The fixtures, subject to change, are (home teams first, 11.30am start unless otherwise arranged):
Despatch v Molly Blackburn, Woodridge v Graeme (12.00), Tinara v McCarthy Street, St Andrew’s v Selborne, VP v Union High, Queen’s v Stirling.
