Pearson shine on home turf

IN an eagerly anticipated first eleven game on the newly laid Pearson astro-turf the hosts defeated Graeme College 4-2 in a well-contested hockey fixture.

The Pearson boys started strongly by scoring in the second minute and soon went 2-0 up, forcing Graeme to play catch-up hockey.

Pearson controlled the game in the first half and took a good 3-1 lead into halftime.

Graeme stepped up the pace in the second half to put Pearson under a great deal of pressure, but the hosts kept them out.

Each team added another goal in the second half for a final score of 4-2.
