Winning 1966 Miss Humewood title a lot of fun

I READ in The Herald of June 6 you were trying to trace former Miss Port Elizabeths ("Calling former Miss PEs”).

I was Miss Humewood in 1966. Miss Humewood was the title given before Miss Port Elizabeth! Among other fantastic prizes, I won a skiing trip to Andermatt in Switzerland, which I remember was such fun.

I know at one time there were photos of all the former Miss Humewoods displayed in the beach manager’s office in Humewood, but don’t know if they remain there today. I live in Kloof in KwaZulu-Natal, but I am in Port Elizabeth visiting my elderly mother and happened to read your article.
