Forum disappoints as focus is altered

THE Coega Business Forum was not fruitful. Yes, Mlungisi "Lulu” Johnson’s speech was fine and motivational ("‘Lulu’ Johnson rejects youth wage subsidy”, June 12).

My only problem is with certain individuals who have these political vendettas, who totally changed the main objective of the forum. People raised irrelevant points.

I was there to be informed about the problems that are facing us as young entrepreneurs, not to listen to ANC, PAC, IFP, COPE and DA issues. If someone wants a platform where he or she can raise political issues and financial issues that are facing youth and those previously suggested programmes, there was a special council meeting (IDP and budget public participation programme) proposed for yesterday.

People, let us grow South Africa. The issues of parliament should not be our stumbling block.

We, as youth, need to develop ourselves and create a productive chain that we will be proud of.
