FRAMESBY emerged triumphant in the inaugural edition of the All Saints Sevens Rugby Festival at St Dominic’s Priory at the weekend.
In the Cup final on Friday afternoon, Framesby took the honours with a sound 17-5 win over Pearson.
Kirkwood were the top side in the Shield section, defeating Walmer 12-0 in the final, while Ithembelihle took the Bowl section honours with a 22-0 win over Humansdorp in the final.
VP defeated Alexander Road 5-0 in the Plate final.
The inaugural festival surpassed all expectations with a commendable display of rugby and sportsmanship.
There was plenty of promising talent on show with enterprising rugby being played throughout the two-day festival.
"The whole occasion was a delight to attend. The organisation for the event was superb. Seeing these boys in action was a great joy,” PG Glass coordinator Veanne Falco said.
