I WONDER what your stance is, mayor Zanoxolo Wayile, when it comes to lack of a municipal police force in this metro.
Khosi Camagu, a colleague of yours, as well as Mafa Puzi lost their lives. Another youth, Cheslyn Griesel, lost his life in Kleinskool.
Senior citizens are getting butchered. It is beyond my imagination how the ruling party of this metro can gamble with the lives of law-abiding citizens. Visible policing will always be a constructive crime prevention method Mr Mayor.
Why must the municipality spend R1-million a year on cable theft when it could have been prevented if a metro police force was a reality.
The people deserve to be protected day and night, irrespective of the area in which they are residing.
Helen Sauls-August can you maybe provide light on this situation.
I am terribly sorry to say it, but more lives will be on the line unless the people in power give crime the full attention it deserves.
I will [continue to advocate] for a municipal police force till the day I die – hoping that my death will not be crime related.
