IT was a testing week for Aryan B in the EP Table Tennis League as they played tough matches against Booysens Pride and St Mark’s-St John’s.
The match against Booysens Pride was a nail-biting affair and the scoreline read 5-5 at one stage, with the last doubles match scheduled to be the decider.
Captain Shahied Mamoojee was in fine form, winning all his matches and securing the last doubles with Shahied Abrahams, beating Michael de Kock and Vernal Higgins 12-10 12-14 11-9.
The match against St Mark’s-St John’s ended in a win for Aryan B 10-1.
In the other exciting match of the night between Olympia A and Aryan D, Zeenal Bhana was in fine form, winning all his matches and having a good match with Nebba Ncebo, beating him 11-8 11-7.
The final score was 7-4 in favour of Aryan D.
In other matches, Aryan C lost to Aryan A 9-2.
Neil Hendricks and Rajesh Bhana were good for Aryan A, winning all their matches.
Olympia A defeated NMMU 10-1 with Monde Cola and Selvan Sammy going unbeaten for Olympia A.
