CLINICAL finishing, accurate passing and an abundance of skill is what makes the Spanish football team tick ("Spain reign – again”, July 2). They are just a cut above the rest at this point.
Italy had no answer. They competed with honour and guts.
Unfortunately that was where it all ended for them. Brazil 2014 will be very interesting.
We will have to wait and see if they can create history by retaining the World Cup come 2014. One must remember that these players will need to be fresh and hungry all over again.
Only time will tell if they can remain focussed and passionate to continue to achieve for their country. It is possible, given that these players will all still be in their prime in 2014.
I have a feeling this team will rewrite the history books. Spain is making football look beautiful again.
