AS expected, the soccer match between Pefa Premier League log leaders Central Acemates and Motherwell Academy at the Westbourne Oval turned out to be a real humdinger.
Acemates were a goal down at the end of regulation time, but scored twice in injury time to snatch a dramatic victory, completing the double over Motherwell after beating them 1-0 in the first round.
Callies continued their goal- scoring spree beating Warriors 3-1 at the Moregrove school field. In their last three matches the defending champions have scored 18 goals with just three against. In the corresponding first round fixture Callies sneaked home to a 2-1 win.
With the teams tied at 1-1 at the break, another close encounter was on the cards but Kurt Petersen completed his brace before Tarquine Windvogel added the third.
On Friday, NMMU Madibaz thumped PE City 5-0.
The results were:
NMMU Madibaz 5 PE City 0, Highbury 2 Forresters 2, Warriors 1 Callies 3, Central Acemates 2 Motherwell Acad 1
BLACKPOOL failed to pick up maximum points from their double-header in the Nafa Premier League at the weekend.
On Saturday they came back from a goal down at the break to beat Saints 2-1 in a thrilling match.
Nico Bailey gave Blackpool maximum points after Jaun de Klerk equalised early in the second half.
Yesterday they were held to a 2-2 draw by Chatty United. After Shuab Jafta gave Wolves the lead early in the match Donovan Kroukamp equalised just before halftime.
In the second half Nico Bailey put Blackpool ahead for the first time. Just when they looked set to score their second win of the weekend they were reduced to 10 men when Logan Freeman was red-carded. Wolves used this and Lee Bouwers equalised to give them a share of the points.

Glenville and Chatty shared the points when they drew 2-2.
