Hockey triumph for Grey

GREY High had a clean sweep against traditional rivals Grey College in their hockey derby at the weekend.

In extremely difficult and wet conditions, Port Elizabeth’s Grey High won 12 of their 13 matches, while the under-16A teams played out to a goalless draw.

The Grey High first team showed excellent form, scoring two early goals and never allowing the Bloemfontein visitors into the game.

SA Schools player Curtis Samboer was in sublime form, following up his two early strikes with a third goal in the final minutes to complete his hat trick.

This was Grey High’s fourth win in succession over Grey College.
