THE final playoff rounds of the inaugural Biyana-Mofa Top 8 competition, which got off to a thrilling start last week, will be played at the NU9 Stadium this weekend.
The competition, sponsored by Motherwell medical practitioner Ngubo Biyana for the next five years, carries a winner’s prize of R5000, medals and a floating trophy. The runners-up will pocket R2000 and medals.
The top goalscorer and player of the series will each receive R500 and a trophy.
Last Saturday, the biggest thrill came in the match between Ikamva Movers and Young Madrid, won 13-12 by Movers in a sudden- death shootout. Movers play Valencia, who beat Tomorrow Stars 2-0, in the first semifinal.
Shining Stars and Real Strikers clash in the second semifinal.
In the First Division semifinals, NU29 Stars take on Camper United, while City Rangers play Young Ideas.
The winners meet in the finals at the same venue on Sunday.
