WE would like to point out that Iain McLaggan does not have any full-time employment arrangement or agreement at TwoTone Music.

The report, "Bay singer Iain McLaggan guilty of raping incapacitated teen" (August 21), states McLaggan is "a member of the TwoTone show band", but this music group (with which he performed as freelance singer for various shows) has not performed since 2010, after which TwoTone became a production company which specialises in wedding and corporate entertainment.

McLaggan is one of more than 200 musicians who have performed in various productions of TwoTone Music over the past three years. He is therefore a freelance performer and in no way permanently associated with TwoTone.

Only a small part of his career as a musician is/was spent doing freelance work for TwoTone. Our company has worked hard to build a solid reputation as entertainment provider and has no direct involvement in the private lives of (the dozens of) freelance entertainers who perform in our shows.

Gareth and Ulagh Williams, directors, TwoTone Music
