SO the Kings need at least three years to get their team in ship-shape condition for Super Rugby ("It's official! Kings to play Super 15" (August 17). Really?
Has anyone bothered to take note of the fact that the Lions won the very first Super Rugby competition in their first year? No three year prep time for them, or any of the other teams that participated – just senior provincial rugby was good enough.
In South Africa that meant Currie Cup rugby.
EP weren't good enough then and they won't be good enough this time round.
I wait with bated breath to see how many of Cheeky Watson's promises are met. And how much the government will meddle in the debate.
