THE letter by the DA councillor for Ward 6 NMBM ("Kabuso report delay unacceptable", August 16) is nothing other than an attempt by the DA to score cheap political points.
The DA has an excellent relationship with mayor Zanoxolo Wayile and acting municipal manager Temba Hani, and they know by now that this Kabuso report has been thoroughly investigated by the law enforcement agencies of South Africa and that they found no evidence at all of any corruption or such things by any of the persons mentioned in this report.
The simple truth is that the mayor, acting municipal manager and senior officials are colluding with the DA to keep these investigation results from the public because it will expose those who are acting against the ANC. This cannot be suppressed forever and the truth will be told some day soon.
