HOTSPURS can book their place in the semifinals of the Nafa Premier League Cup tomorrow when they play Stardrift at Dyke 1.
Spurs top Group A with maximum points from three matches. Last week, they demolished closest rivals Park United. After this weekend's match they are due to play Ebenezer, who have not won a match so far, and Bloom Callies, who trail them by two points but have played an extra match. Callies have a bye this weekend.
Park United must beat Blackpool when the two sides clash in Arcadia to maintain their challenge for a semifinal spot.
In Group B, the race is still wide open with Fairview Rovers in pole position. However, they have played more matches than Glenville and Wolves, who are two points adrift.
Glenville and Wolves clash in a match neither side can afford to lose. The winners will overtake Rovers, while the losers could be out of the knockout stage of the competition.
Saints are in fourth place and a win over Ramblers on their home ground will put them in with a chance of making the semis going into the final round of fixtures.
NMMU Madibaz and Motherwell Academy clash in a Pefa Premier League fixture at the campus this evening.
In the first round, the students won 3-0, and in a midweek fixture probably ended Central Acemates' hopes of winning the league when they beat them 3-1.
After topping the league table since the beginning of the season, Acemates seem to be falling off the pace and have a mountain to climb if they are to prevent Callies from retaining the title. They play Hearts at the Oval, while Callies have a bye.
Tailenders Highbury and PE City clash at Victoria Park, while Warriors take on Forresters.
