Give coach time to build new team

AS a passionate supporter of Amabokoboko I think it is too early for South Africans to press panic buttons as the coach is attempting his best to build a future team with young blood mixed with seasoned players. I totally disagree with some of the comments made by other fans that the coach needs to be axed.

It takes at least six to 12 months to build a very strong team. Although we drew with Argentina, we should still give Heyneke Meyer an opportunity to groom his team.

We must not forget that at least 70% of the Springbok players of last season are no longer in the squad as some of them retired and some of them had lucrative contracts abroad. Now is the time to build the new team with young blood for the next World Cup.

I am fully behind the coach, especially for giving all the players a chance to showcase their talent during the Four Nations.

Look at the All Blacks squad. They are playing new players who did not feature in the World Cup and kept a few experienced players to transfer skills to the young blood.
