MR WATSON, to ignore the barricades, clearly marked as a flooded road, thinking that your R800000 luxury vehicle is a boat, is utter arrogance, to say the least ("Cheeky in flood drama", September 3). You put your family's life at risk, because you were running late!
I could not believe it when I read the article, and you mentioned that "it was a nice little adventure"! You obviously have too much money to have an expensive car written off for a little adventure, or you expected the waters to open like the Red Sea when you approached!
I doubt very much if your insurers are very happy with this incident.
And for The Herald to portray you as the hero of this article is appalling.
