DESPITE being reduced to 10 men in the second half, Callies beat NMMU Madibaz 2-1 in the quarterfinals of the Pefa KO Cup at the campus on Friday.

In the semifinals Callies will play Forresters, who had a bye in the quarters.

There were close calls in both the quarterfinals on Saturday.

Premier League log-leaders Central Acemates were pushed all the way by tail-enders Highbury and eventually won 5-3.
