THE Herald article, "Man 'awakes' from seven-year coma" (September 11), states Dr Siyabulela Bungana said there was no scientific proof that administering Stilnox could contribute positively for patients in a coma.

Possibly two months back Carte Blanche had a discussion about the sleeping drug's effect on comatose patients with very positive feedback and doctors in South Africa conveying results of scientific tests in this regard.
