TOP side Booysens Pride and NMMU A produced an exciting clash in the last round of the Nelson Mandela Bay table tennis league this week.

In a match that could have gone either way, Booysens Pride finally clinched it 6-5. With the match level at 5-5, it came down to the last doubles match, with Booysens Pride edging their varsity rivals 7-11 11-8 11-9.

There was another close clash when Olympia A shaded Aryan B 6-5. Selvan Sammy (Olympia) was in fine form and won all his games.

In the match between NMMU B and Olympia B, the varsity's new German recruit Bjoern Uhlenbusch won all his games as NMMU won 8-3. In the other matches, Aryan C lost to Aryan A 10-1 and Aryan D defeated Aryan E 11-0.



A FUN T-ball day for baseballers in the under-8, 10 and 12 categories will be held at Londt Park Sports Club tomorrow (10am).

After a successful turnout last Saturday, Tigers Baseball Club, with coaching support from the other clubs in the province, will again be hosting the day.

All children who attended the first T-Ball day will be divided into their respective teams again and new children will be divided into one of the four new teams chosen.

This T-Ball event will take place every Saturday morning at the same venue and time until further notice.



THE EP Natural Bodybuilding championships will be held on Sunday at the St Thomas auditorium in Gelvandale (3pm). The entry fee is R100 an athlete and R30 for spectators. There are categories for junior men, senior men, masters and junior and senior women.
