WITH Heritage Day just over a week away, braai cooking maestro Jan Scannell is dishing out advice aplenty – the most important tidbit being that if you want the perfect dop ’n chop on September 24, you’ll need to start preparations this weekend.
Scannell – better known as "Jan Braai” – started National Braai Day in 2007 with the aim of uniting South Africans on Heritage Day.
He now plans to take it even further by getting at least one person in every country in the world to light a fire on September 24.
For more about this plan, Scannell’s visit to PE this weekend and also his best braai tips, get your copy of Weekend Post on Saturday September 15.
