Tickets for his year's annual The Herald Christmas Cheer Fund car draw competition are selling like hot cakes.
People who buy a ticket at R10 each can win a VW Polo Vivo, sponsored by Volkswagen Group South Africa.
The Christmas Cheer Fund has also attracted a new partner, Port Elizabeth radio station KingfisherFM.
"KingfisherFM is delighted to be partnering with The Herald Christmas Cheer Fund. This is a project which has been active for a long time.
"It is a lifeline to many non- profit organisations in our little bit of the world and makes a huge difference to the work people tirelessly do to effect change.
"We're hoping KingfisherFM's involvement will add to the energy of this project as we collaborate in good things," KingfisherFM general manager Theunis Pienaar said.

"How about challenging your friends to donate? Or your competitors? Let's make the way you bring cheer famous – ching, ching in the Beggar's tin. Wishing you a happy Christmas tide," Lancaster said. There are a couple of ways you can donate:
- Look out for the raffle tickets at various points or one of our 17 hard- working charity partners;
- Come to Newspaper House, 19 Baakens Street, Central, Port Elizabeth, and The Herald cashiers will gladly accept cash or cheque donations; or
