I WAS flabbergasted to hear the South African President Jacob Zuma explain to parliament how democracy works, following a question from the DA on the miners strike.
His lesson on democracy, SA style, was as follows: "We [ANC] have more rights because we are a majority, you have lesser rights because you are a minority, that's how democracy works – absolutely."
When was the constitution changed? I've always been under the impression all citizens were entitled to equal rights?
