Downtown exposed

THE Downtown Anonymous photographic exhibition opens at the ArtEC Community Art Centre in Port Elizabeth on Tuesday.

The work of Manuela Thurnher and Alison Williams will be part of a non-profit charity exhibition celebrating the people and streets in Port Elizabeth's distinctive Central area.

It is described as "the vision within and the reality without – two women with two cameras".

According to the two exhibitors, Downtown Anonymous is a celebration of life downtown.

"What we see, what we saw, how we interpreted our private thoughts and memories and turned them into a visual flow – depicting people, history, buildings.

"A combination of interior and exterior worlds," they said.

The exhibition runs at ArtEC until October 6.
