Leading local artists to showcase talents

ART Gallery in Port Elizabeth is hosting two exhibitions that open today and will run concurrently.

Home@Art is a celebratory exhibition which highlights the diverse talent of ceramists, some of whom have had work selected for the National Ceramic Exhibition to be held at the Pretoria Art Museum from October 7.

Works from the national exhibition participants, among others, Donve Branch, Lydia Holmes, Bianca Whitehead, Margie Higgs, Delphine Niez, Billy McNaughton, Charmain Haines and Lynnley Watson are on display.

Ceramics Southern Africa Eastern Cape has found a permanent home at ART Gallery and members of the Eastern Cape branch will now have a permanent exhibition space at the new gallery.

Running concurrently is the new Collect!ve 2 exhibition which showcases work of leading Eastern Cape artists who have excelled themselves in national and international exhibitions.

Artists include Anton Momberg, Gregory Kerr, Derrick Erasmus, Gregory Schultz, Anthony Harris, Bretten-Anne Moolman and Jaco Benade to name a few.

The exhibitions open today at 5.30pm and close on October 28.
