THE Comrades Marathon roadshow hits Port Elizabeth this week, with the annual function taking place at the Italian Club in Charlo on Wednesday.
It will be hosted by the Triangle Sports Club and will start at 7pm.
The roadshow team will aim to motivate both novice and veteran runners alike to help them tackle the 89km race on June 2.
Led by Comrades Marathon marketing co-ordinator Thami Vilakazi, coach Lindsey Parry, Race4Charity initiator Brad Brown and workshop facilitator Ian Laxton, the team aim to cover everything a runner ought to know regarding the 2013 Comrades Marathon.
Part of the information line-up will include:
- The latest details on the 2013 Comrades Marathon entry process;
- Effective training techniques;
- Achieving running greatness;
- Tapering and injury prevention; and
Vilakazi said the workshops held in KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng and the Western Province had been well received.
"The workshops are tailored to deliver the very best advice and tips and have proven to be an immense source of help and motivation to a large number of runners over the years."
The workshops are free and anyone can attend.
