ANELE Pamba says Paul Perez's on the field hooliganism was as a result of Perez having been held up in his home by armed robbers, and that his Samoan culture prevented him from seeking counselling, causing "delayed post-traumatic stress" ("Perez punch-up blamed on robbery trauma", September 24).
I too was held up in my home by armed robbers and I too did not seek counselling, but I certainly did not go about using this as an excuse to act like a thug.
I propose that to The Herald hero and hooligan of the day, you add a third category, namely "Thumbsuck of the Day". I nominate Pamba as the first recipient of this award.
