THE Birds deserve applause for lifting the MTN trophy against Super Sport United ("Birds flying again after MTN8 victory over United", September 24).They were disciplined and determined to lift the trophy, and their coach was also over the moon as they surprised their critics.

Nobody gave them a chance against the solid defence of United and the goal that Bennett Chenene scored made a huge difference. They can now spoil their players with an unexpected bonus.

There is no team unbeatable in PSL as Swallows were underdogs but became victorious. We can now concentrate on the league.
