Hail, the homemade farewell dress

03 October 2012
A HOMEMADE dress can be just as stunning as a designer number as Cotswold matriculant Lauren Zeelie shows today in her purple satin and taffeta matric farewell dress, worn to St Mark's Community school dance.

Zeelie is one of the latest entrants for The Herald and Reach for a Dream's Wear Your Dream matric farewell dress competition – but as entries close in exactly one week, would-be winners had better hurry to send in their entries!

Entrants can win prizes worth R8000 in three categories:

ýHomemade (made by a non-professional);

ýDesigner-made: hired;

ýDesigner-made: bought.

The final 30 dresses will feature in La Femme. See the entry form on Page II for further information on the categories as well as on how and where to enter.

The entry form is also available on Reach for a Dream's Wear Your Dream competition Facebook page (search for: Wear-Your-Dream-matric-dress-competition).

Go to The Herald's website for an online picture gallery of the entrants so far.
