THE Warriors will be hunting for another win when they face the Dolphins in a Sunfoil Series cricket match starting at Buffalo Park in East London tomorrow.
In an impressive start, the Warriors began their four-day Sunfoil campaign with a convincing win over the Nashua Titans at Axxess St George's last week.
Led by their inspirational skipper, Davy Jacobs, the Warriors whipped the defending champions by 161 runs.
Last year, the Warriors struggled in the competition, winning just two of their 10 matches and losing seven.
Coach Piet Botha will be delighted by several individual showings by his team against the Titans as they finished off the champions with plenty of time to spare on the final day.
There were several outstanding performances by both the bowlers and batsmen against the Titans.
Both Jacobs and Michael Price posted centuries, while Basheer Walters and Gurshwin Rabie proved to be the pick of the bowlers, each taking five wickets in an innings.
Another bowler to catch the eye was Andrew Birch who took seven wickets in the match.
The Warriors squad: Michael Price, Davy Jacobs (capt), Jon-Jon Smuts, Ashwell Prince, Colin Ingram, Kelly Smuts, Athi Dyili (w/k), Simon Harmer, Andrew Birch, Lyall Meyer, Basheer Walters, Gurshwin Rabie.
