Don't divide the party any further

COMRADE Nceba Faku wants us to believe that Jacob Zuma has failed us ("'Zuma has failed us'", October 4). Reasons given were that the NEC did not adhere to a request for the removal of the incumbent mayor of Nelson Mandela Bay.

The NEC includes comrade Kgalema Motlanthe, who he wants us to support. Faku must accept that the ANC is bigger then petty personal issues between two comrades.

If Zuma has failed us, the ANC has failed us and what choice is left to us?

My humble advice to Faku is to accept that someone else is the mayor and he cannot remote control comrade Zanoxolo Wayile.

Faku is pro-settling personal scores through using the masses. The organisation can ill afford the direction that Faku is hinting at.

We are in danger of losing the metro, but we are fighting each other. My humble request to my comrade is to show leadership and not to divide our organisation further.
