Fairytale wedding bliss

THE winners of The Herald Bridal Fair Win a Dream Wedding competition – Heather Stewart and Jonathan Scheuble – held their long-awaited wedding in front of 200 guests at Slipperfields in August.

The couple won the prize at the 21st annual Bridal Fair in May this year and could finally afford to say "I do" after being engaged for five years.

Stewart and Scheuble's entry was randomly chosen out of thousands of entries for the prize and she said her wedding day was "like a fairytale".

"The day was absolutely beautiful and everything went smoothly.

"All of it exceeded my expectations, especially the reception at Slipperfields. All of my guests were raving about it, everyone just loved it," she said.

"The honeymoon was also wonderful and I really wouldn't mind going back to the Views Boutique Hotel again. To finally say 'I do' after five years on the day was overwhelming but wonderful."

The Booysens Park couple's R190000 wedding included a fully catered reception for 200 guests at Slipperfields, a wedding dress from top city designer Jason Kieck, hair styling, flowers, cake, car hire, photography, a honeymoon at the Wilderness and more. Heather thanked all of the sponsors who came on board to make her wedding day a success.

On married life, she said: "We've been married for only a month and a half but I can say that it's really great and fulfilling".
