Bay switches to Absa Bank

NELSON Mandela Bay ratepayers settling their municipal bills online will need to change their banking details as the city has switched banks from Standard to Absa Bank.

This means that all payments to the municipality – including municipal accounts and traffic fines – will be made to Absa accounts in future.

Municipal spokesman Kupido Baron said yesterday the Absa account would be operational from November 1, but the Standard Bank account would continue to be operational until ratepayers were fully aware of the change.
