THANK you for the interesting and inspirational article on Dr Patrick Soon-Shiong who is now the richest man in Los Angeles. It is extremely sad that this incredible person was hounded out of South Africa due to apartheid.
The current government is doing exactly the same by alienating white South African citizens and making them feel unwelcome in South Africa through various actions.
People like Dr Soon-Shiong are pioneers who add value to society and critical employment for citizens of a country.
South Africa has huge potential if we would only embrace each other as fellow citizens.
White South African students who have been educated by the best teachers in the world are not accepted at our universities and are forced to go and study overseas. Once these students have left our shores they are lost forever.
These young white South Africans were all born into the democratic South Africa and have nothing to do with apartheid. Their skills need to be nurtured in South Africa so that they can add value to society. Make the best of these great young people who are completing their matric year.
