Chiefs needed No 1 goalkeeper

AS I was watching the game between Amakhosi and Wits at Geya's place, I could see we (Kaizer Chiefs) were not hungry for success.

Wits came very hard and blazing in the first half and within 20 minutes, we were down by 2-0.

Our goalkeeper for the day was worse than before, as he could have saved at least the first goal, which was an easy shot to pick up.

We only played the second half, which was too late. We should also stop complaining about tiredness as the same team also had players who were performing national duty.

I have watched with disbelief to see we are out of the Telkom Cup.

The coach cost us a lot in not picking Khune Itumeleng to be on the poles. A goalkeeper cannot be tired like the other players on the field.

Not starting with Itumeleng was an uncalculated risk by Kaizer Chiefs coaching staff. The coach must go back to the drawing board as our backline is always exposed, especially in the absence of Sibusiso Gaxa.

I still believe things would have been different if Itumeleng had been the goalkeeper for the day.
