THE Mill Park Bowling Club is preparing for one of the most popular tournaments on the EP calendar when the MPBC Pro10B tournament is played on November 10-11.
There has been massive interest in the event and a total of 60 teams will play alternatively at the Mill Park and Moth clubs.
Thanks to the sponsorship of SpecSavers, this event will be held nationally next year, with regional winners contesting the national finals.
Meanwhile, Mill Park will be focused on their event. The weekend will kick off with a social function and a pre-draw on the Friday (November 9).
The action will take place over the weekend with two-ball pairs playing 10 games of 10 ends each. After the first six games on Saturday, each group will be divided into two sections, named the Spec section and the Saver section.
On Sunday morning, four games will be played in each section for the teams to improve their log positions. At the end of the 10th game, the top two of each group will play in the semifinals on Sunday afternoon, followed by the final.
The scoring is done according to the cut-throat system – four points for nearest to the jack, three points for second, two points for third and one for fourth place.
There will be a maximum of 10 points an end with a maximum of 100 points a game.
