BAY Stars will host East London outfit FC Buffalo next Wednesday for the replay of Friday's rained-out Safa provincial Second Division soccer match at Gelvandale Stadium.
The field was declared unplayable after heavy rains pounded the region.
Stars were targeting a second win after their opening 1-0 victory in the first round of the league over Mthatha Bucks.
Stars team manager Nicholas Myataza yesterday confirmed the game would be played at the same venue next Wednesday.
"A decision to postpone the game was taken after the municipality and Safa Nelson Mandela Bay discovered that the field was waterlogged."
He said the game against Tembu Royals scheduled for this weekend would take place as planned.
Meanwhile, Highbury will play against Cacadu United at the Gelvandale Stadium tonight at 7pm.
The match will be the first league encounter for the home side after their game was also called off at the weekend because of a sodden pitch.
Highbury coach Garth Dickinson said: "We want to start our league campaign on a high note and we don't want to spoil our spirit in the camp."
