Kings fired up to put it right

A DEFIANT EP Kings director of rugby Alan Solomons wants his team to "put things right" when they face the Cheetahs in a second leg Currie Cup promotion match on Friday. Solomons, flanked by his captain Darron Nell and vice-captain Tiger Mangweni, said his team had let their fans down when they slumped to a big 53-14 first leg defeat in Bloemfontein.

"We know we let the people down, but we still ask that they come out and support us in the second leg. The team have to set this thing right," Solomons said this week.

EP Kings chief executive Anele Pamba has said his team are planning to stage rugby's "fightback of the century" at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium tomorrow (kick-off 7.10pm).

"The team are fortunate to have time to put things right because the season could have ended in Bloemfontein.
